Resource Categories let you organise every physical asset in your clinic into meaningful groups — Treatment Rooms, Consultation Rooms, Laser Machines, Injection Stations, Hydrotherapy Equipment, and so on. Each category is linked to the services that require it, so when a service is booked the system automatically allocates an appropriate resource from the correct category. This eliminates double-booking, ensures specialist equipment is always reserved for treatments that genuinely require it, and produces clean capacity utilisation reports.

Navigate to Settings then Resources then Categories and click Add New Category.

Enter a clear, descriptive category name and assign a colour for instant visual identification in the diary view.

Add individual rooms, machines, or equipment items to the category from the main Resources management page.
